Bio
Minhyun Kim is an assistant professor in the Department of Kinesiology at 麻豆精品. Dr. Kim completed his Ph.D. from University of New Mexico with a specialization in physical education teacher education and adapted physical education. He also earned his master’s degree in kinesiology with an emphasis in pedagogy from California State University, San Bernardino.
His research focuses on effective teaching strategies and effectiveness for adapted physical education and physical education teachers. He has strived to develop and provide a variety of modified physical activities and instructional strategies. Additionally, Dr. Kim is interested in safety, liability, and risk-management issues in physical education. Recently, he published several manuscripts entitled “Dugouts as a hazard in high school baseball”, “The danger of responsibilities assigned to concussed athletes” and “Softball, nothing soft about it”.
Dr. Kim is a faculty advisor for SHSU Project Sunshine, which is a national non-profit organization that provides service to families with disabilities in the Walker County Area. He is an editorial board member for Journal of Kinesiology and Wellness.
