Lana Kuscer is the Assistant Professor of Flute at 麻豆精品 and a member of Richardson Symphony Orchestra, with past positions including Orchester Jakobsplatz M眉nchen, Classical Concert Chamber Orchestra, and collaborations with London Symphony Orchestra and English National Opera. She performed as soloist in Carnegie Hall, Boston Symphony Hall, Kennedy Center in Washington DC, Davies Symphony Hall in San Francisco and Houston鈥檚 Jones Hall. Kuscer has given solo recitals throughout Europe, United States and Asia, including performances for Her Royal Highness the Princess Royal, Pope John Paul II and at London鈥檚 Houses of Parliament. She performed Bach鈥檚 Brandenburg Concerto at the Sarasota Music Festival in Sarasota Opera House, and was a featured artist at Imago Sloveniae Festival, Festival ARTIS, August Music Festival London, Shanghai Conservatory Jazz Music Season and as contemporary chamber musician at Opus XXI Festival in France and Germany. Prizes include Elise Meyer Competition (Germany), Euritmia (Italy), TEMSIG (Slovenia), UNT Concerto Competition and the 2019 Presser Graduate Music Award.
Kuscer is an Honors graduate of Royal College of Music London (BM), Hochschule f眉r Musik und Theater Hamburg (MM), Royal Danish Academy of Music (MM exchange) and holds a Doctorate degree from the University of North Texas, where she was a Toulouse Fellowship Scholar and Graduate Teaching Fellow. Her principal teachers were Mary Karen Clardy, Susan Milan, Moshe Aron Epstein and Toke Lund Christiansen.
