Major in Accounting
Degree: Bachelor of Business Administration
The Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting degree program is designed to prepare students for professional accounting positions at the entry level within industry and government. Students also receive a foundation in knowledge and skills for further pursuit of the Master of Science in Accounting degree, which is designed to provide students with the advanced study in accounting necessary to prepare for the CPA examination.
To major in accounting, a student must maintain a minimum overall grade point average of at least 2.5, and earn a C or better in each of the 10 accounting courses (30 credit hours).
The Department also offers a minor in accounting consisting of 6 accounting courses (18 credit hours) to complement any academic discipline.
Graduate Degree in Accounting
Degree: Master of Science
The Master of Science in Accounting degree program is designed to provide students with the advanced study in accounting necessary to prepare for the CPA examination. This program equips students with the knowledge and skills needed in the profession of accounting.
