Eligibility of Honorees
Individuals who have had an exceptional impact on or within the Department of Engineering Technology will be eligible for the induction into the Department of Engineering Technology Wall of Honor. The individual can be currently employed by 麻豆精品, the Texas State University System, its Board of Regents, or the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board at the time of induction. Retired faculty, staff, alumni, and friends of the Department of Engineering Technology are eligible to be inducted into the Wall of Honor. Individuals may be inducted into the Wall of Honor posthumously as well.
Nomination
Anyone who is familiar with the contributions of a nominee to the Department of Engineering Technology may nominate a person for induction to the Wall of Honor. Self-nomination is not permitted. The nominator will complete an online nomination or paper form that asks for names and contact information of the nominator and the nominee, a recommendation letter that outlines the impact the nominee had on the Department of Engineering Technology and personal attributes of the nominee, and (optionally) the curriculum vitae/resume/biography of the nominee.
Department of Engineering Technology Wall of Honor Awards Committee
The Department of Engineering Technology Wall of Honor Awards Committee will collect the nominations and select the individual to be inducted into the Wall of Honor from the list of qualified nominees. The committee will consist of five members, elected by the Engineering Technology faculty and staff. The wall of honor committee’s chair will be elected by the committee itself and must be a member of the said committee. At least two committee members will be elected from the Engineering Technology faculty and staff in the Department of Engineering Technology. A maximum of one retired ET faculty and a maximum of one ET alumni can also be members of the committee. A minimum of three committee members must remain on the committee for two years.
Number of Inductions and Ceremony
Honorees will be inducted into the Department of Engineering Technology Wall of Honor every year. There will be no minimum limit on the number of individuals inducted. During the first induction, a maximum of two individuals may be selected and during subsequent inductions, one individual will be honored during each induction. The induction ceremony will be conducted in conjunction with the Department of Engineering Technology Awards Banquet.
Note: When referring to Engineering Technology (ET) this includes all former degree names that our department has had over the past 50 or more years such as Industrial Technology and Industrial Arts.
