  • Jack Staggs Counseling Clinic

    The Clinic is a training facility for Masters and Doctoral level students who are enrolled in the counseling program at 麻豆精品. Counseling program faculty supervise all counseling sessions provided by counselors-in-training. The Counseling Clinic offers counseling services to students and to the community.

  • SHSU Food Pantry

    The purpose of the Food Pantry is to support students who struggle with food insecurity, to encourage an educational understanding of food insecurity, and to provide a space for students to volunteer and network with their peers.

  • Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs

    The Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs is the state agency responsible for affordable housing, community and energy assistance programs, colonia activities, and regulation of the state's manufactured housing industry. The Department currently administers $2 billion through for-profit, nonprofit, and local government partnerships to deliver local housing and community-based opportunities and assistance to Texans in need

  • Texas Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)

    Many Texans have trouble making ends meet each month. After paying for rent, utilities, transportation, and child care, there's often little left over to buy nutritious food. But it doesn't have to be that way. Each month, hundreds of thousands of families across the state turn to the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) to receive help in the form of Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits to help feed their families.

    The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children, popularly known as WIC, is a nutrition program for pregnant, breastfeeding women and families with children younger than 5.

  • Good Shepherd Mission

    The Good Shepherd Mission is a 501(c)(3) non profit corporation. The mission is funded by generous donations from individuals, local churches, businesses, the new Piney Woods United Way, civic clubs and through their in-house Thrift Stores. The staff at the mission works with other local Human Services organizations and share resources as available.

    “Meeting basic human needs through FEEDING, CLOTHING, SHELTERING, COUNSELING and changing lives for GOOD.”

    SAAFE House is a shelter and crisis intervention agency. They are an advocate for the family. Their goal is to work with women, men, and children in the community by providing resources to help them get back on their feet and live abuse free lives.

  • Walker County Housing Authority

    The Mission of the Housing Authority of Walker County is to provide the necessary number of affordable, decent, safe, and sanitary dwelling units within its jurisdiction; to administer, professionally and accurately, the programs authorized by the Board of Commissioners and Congress; and to professionally maintain the property that has been developed throughout its intended useful life.

    The Housing Authority of Walker County is accepting applications for Public Housing on Wednesdays only from 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.

  • Walker County Health and Human Services

    Walker County Health and Human Services works in conjunction with the Texas Health and Human Services employees to ensure Texans receive the benefits for which they are qualified. They also rely, in part, on caring people in the local community who give their time and talents to provide things the state does not, such as mentoring children and learning to manage their benefits.

  • Community Assistance Center

    The Community Assistance Center is a non-profit 501(c)(3) social services organization that provides basic needs services and long-term case management to individuals and families throughout Montgomery County who are struggling through times of financial hardships. The Community Assistance Center provides essential assistance programs, services and resources to help stabilize their situation during these difficult times by initially providing for basic needs and long-term solutions which lead to happier, healthier lives.

    The Community Assistance Center provides resources for rent/mortgage payments, utilities, food, clothing, medical, baby items, and other basic needs.

    The Conroe Salvation Army provides overnight lodging for homeless men and women. They offer short-term financial assistance and social activities for low-income families.

  • Montgomery County Women's Center

    The Montgomery County Women鈥檚 Center has been committed for many years to providing a 24-hour hotline, safe shelter, crisis intervention, counseling, advocacy and legal services to survivors of family violence, sexual assault and stalking.

    The Montgomery County Women鈥檚 Center provides resources for emergency shelter, community and school-based educational programs, legal services, and individual counseling and support groups.

  • Montgomery County Housing Authority

    The Montgomery County Housing Authority provides housing assistance to low income residents through the management of the areas Housing Choice Voucher Program - Section 8. This program is income based and the eligibility guidelines are set by HUD.
