Through leadership development, service-learning initiatives, and student organization involvement, we expose students to the concepts of leadership theory, skills, and application that promote community service as an integral aspect of education. Key programs include CliftonStrengths庐, Bearkat Service Break, Student Employee Leadership Institute, Ultimate Bearkat Society, and OrgLINK, SHSU鈥檚 online student involvement system.

Veterans Resource Center

The Veterans Resource Center (VRC) proudly serves veterans and military-affiliated students, providing access to academic and other SHSU resources while guiding them through their university experience.

Fraternity Sorority Life (FSL)

Fraternity & Sorority Life (FSL) was developed to serve as a liaison between students affiliated with fraternities and sororities, faculty, alumni advisors, inter/national offices, and parents focused on enhancing communication and public relations. The office also offers training on chapter operations, leadership, risk management, health and safety, recruitment, and member development. The FSL mission statement is: Through values-driven practices, we aim to develop student leaders of social organizations and foster a holistic collegiate experience rooted in excellence and community.
